CACRAO College Fairs Schedule 2024

 Welcome to the Carolinas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (CACRAO) Fall 2024 college fair schedule page. CACRAO partners with over 100 2-year and 4-year colleges and universities from North Carolina, South Carolina, and nationwide to provide college and career opportunities for your next steps after high school.   The table view below is grouped by week to show all college fairs in your area. As you go through the table, you can click on the fair you are interested in attending to learn more about the time, and location, and register for the event through Strivescan. Once registered, students will receive an individual barcode to be used throughout the event to connect with any schools they may be interested in learning about.    Please contact your school counselor if you have any questions about a specific event.  North Carolina College Fairs 2024

Transfer Student Registration

Transfer Virtual College Exploration for all North and South Carolina Transfer students Virtual presentations for transfer students to explore college opportunities October 19-November 5 Hear from Admission Officers Experienced admission counselors will tell you what you need to know Gain Important College Knowledge Choose from 110 different transfer specific presentations and information sessions 100 Colleges and Universities Learn more about a hundred different colleges from 12 states and 2 countries! Student Registration Students should register for each session that they want to attend. Once they register, they’ll receive a confirmation email with their unique link to join the Zoom webinar.   (Students will also receive a barcode, but the barcode is not necessary for this virtual event.)  When students register, they are sharing their registration information only with colleges presenting on that particular panel. StriveScan does not sell or share personally identifiable student information with any other third parties. Students should participate live so they can ask questions and interact with the college admission counselors. If students are unable to attend live, we still encourage them to register for the sessions they are interested in and recordings will be available here later. Parents Parents should register their students using their student’s information. Counselors Please share this opportunity with your students and encourage them to register. Counselors are also welcome to register and participate in all sessions!

Newcomers Conference

The Newcomers Conference is an annual workshop designed for new admission professionals to learn real-world experience. The program provides training in critical skills for success and discussion of pertinent issues and situations encountered in the admission profession. Participants will attend presentations, work within small-group settings, and will have plenty of networking opportunities with leaders and other newcomers in admissions. This is a great training opportunity for any of your new hires.

Registration Details

Register by July 7, 2025. Registration covers the cost of attendance including most meals and activities. Register by July 1 to also receive a CACRAO t-shirt. 

$125 for CACRAO member institutions
$135 for CACRAO non-member institutions

Payment should be submitted by credit card through the registration site. 

New Payment Process
Effective August 1, 2024, CACRAO will no longer accept check payments. This decision has been made after careful consideration by the Executive Committee and is aimed at streamlining our financial processes, limiting lost revenue due to nonpayment, and ensuring a secure and efficient payment system. We understand that this change may require some adjustment, and we are committed to making the transition as smooth as possible.

Accommodations

Participants will be responsible for booking their own hotel room. A hotel block is available at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lexington NW-The Vineyard by IHG. The cost is $143.00 per night + taxes. You can reserve a room by calling 888-252-2183. The group block code is "CAC." The hotel block closes on Tuesday, July 1st
